about Lasso

Lasso is a regional, Brussels network concerning arts education and public mediation. Flemish and federal organisations and institutions that work in the field of arts education and/or public mediation, based in Brussels or the surroundings, are a member of the network. It is not bound to any sector and involves all the (educational) arts organisations, educational institutions, organisations for well-being and socio-cultural actors.

Lasso has three main tasks:

• to stimulate consultation between the different sectors and to make accessible the information on arts education and public mediation in Brussels.
• to stimulate collaboration between cultural actors and intermediate organisations or educational institutions in developing arts educational or public mediation activities.
• to promote quality by, for example, organising study days.

Lasso is an initiative of Brussels Kunstenoverleg vzw (Brussels Art Network), is structurally supported by the Flemish Commission for Brussels and receives support Flemish Government for specific projects.
